FeedFoundry Overview and FAQ
What is it?
FeedFoundry allows publishers to easily manage large sets of feeds across multiple properties, track circulation and ad performance in aggregate and make real-time adjustments to improve the reach and profitability of their syndicated content. It is the industry’s only service that tracks audience engagement of distributed media across properties.
Who needs this service and why?
The service was built for commercial publishers and content providers with large numbers of feeds, potentially across multiple properties. A partial list of FeedFoundry customers includes Dow Jones, USA Today, Circuit City, TheStreet.com, Geffen Records, B5 Media, and many more.
What will it help publishers do that they can’t do today?
Today, feed management is often handled on a per-feed basis. FeedFoundry provides previously unavailable, high-level insight — appropriate at the enterprise level — and offers scalability as publishers’ marketing strategies evolve. FeedFoundry’s advanced reporting capability allows publishers to measure how audiences are engaging with their content. They can group sets of feeds and identify trends, activate services in bulk, maintain performance history and design custom reports using a standard dashboard.
What are some of the key features?
Using a simple-to-navigate dashboard, FeedFoundry allows publishers to import, manage and analyze their feeds in aggregate. Key features include:
- Executive-level dashboard view of key metrics including audience engagement, total circulation and ad performance
- FeedBurner-esque management features - Create networks, mass-manage and set up feed-to-email services, set up web site stats, and more.
- Customizable reports and data export in various formats (CSV and Excel-compatible)
- Secure access to feed data via API for use by in-house business intelligence systems
